After many months of planning, TDG s new website has gone live today. It has more content and features than ever before, and visitors will be able to navigate more easily around the site.
Gail Everton, TDG group marketing and communications manager says ‘we wanted to create a website which could showcase our diverse range of skills and sector-specific expertise – and yet would be easily accessible.’
The website will be regularly updated with case studies and news pieces – and it also has the facility for customers to log in to many of TDG’s IT systems, such as IBC asset tracking, temperature control stock reports, POD retrieval and GTS delivery tracking.
One of the new features on the site is a video demonstrating the challenges of faced by global manufacturers, and the importance of end-to-end logistics. Highlighting the hypothetical case of ‘insufficient toy polar bears to meet demand’ the 4 minute segment addresses how important it is to have an overview (and management of) the whole supply chain.
Over the coming months, TDG will also be launching a Twitter feed, and using other forms of social media to engage with its customers.
Gail added, ‘As with all our operations, we’re continually looking for ways to improve our services to customers.’
