Cybit, the UK’s leading online Telematics Service Provider, has launched an upgraded and flexible suite of mapping tools for its Fleetstar-Online fleet tracking and vehicle telematics solution. The new suite includes three configurable options: traditional digital mapping; Google Maps incorporating Street View technology; and ScreenWatcher, an application that now provides companies with 20-second vehicle updates.
The mapping options provide customers with the flexibility to tailor the mapping to suit their individual needs. For example, companies that operate large distribution sites can benefit from upgrading to the live ScreenWatcher option, home delivery companies can have unequivocal vision over the locations visited from Google Street View; whilst for monitoring routes and measuring against plan, traditional digital mapping remains the clearest option.
"At Cybit we understand that individual companies have different preferences and needs. Whilst working with our customers on realising progressive business benefits and layers of cost saving, its obvious that one size does not fit all," commented Steve Towe, Director, Cybit. "The global reach of our mapping technology will help to effectively support our clients across borders, enabling highly detailed visual location updates to help with monitoring all areas from driver safety to real-time traffic.
"These innovations follow a series of new product launches for Cybit, signalling our commitment to investing in proven technologies for the future benefit of our customers," Steve Towe continued.
Fleetstar-Online is Cybit’s industry leading, scalable suite of Internet-based Mobile Resource Management (MRM) and vehicle tracking tools. The high quality data relating vehicle and job performance is captured in conjunction with location information, reported and analysed through Fleetstar. This allows meaningful business decisions to be made using up-to-the minute information on operational performance.
Powerful reporting capabilities facilitate effective management of operational costs and productivity; support strategic initiatives around Carbon footprint; and increase compliance with legislation including Duty of Care and Health and Safety. The strategic importance of Fleetstar-generated information extends beyond vehicle tracking into the heart of the enterprise: Fleet derived information can be directly integrated into a range of business systems to improve the efficiency of the entire organisation. Fleetstar provides the business-critical information that organisations need to execute a clear and rapid path to return on investment.
