Terberg announces introduction of Kinglifter truck-mounted forklifts

Specialist vehicle supplier Terberg DTS (UK) Ltd has revealed details of the introduction of its new range of truck-mounted forklifts that are being marketed under the Kinglifter brand in the UK with effect from November 2012.

Manufactured at the company's Terberg Kinglifter plant in Holland, the new range of Kinglifter truck mounted forklifts comprise three models: Kinglifter S, Kinglifter M and Kinglifter MC. To coincide with this UK launch, Terberg DTS now have demonstration units of all three model types available for customer evaluation.

The Kinglifter product range fits all popular makes of trailer and rigid bodywork available in the UK and Ireland, and are renowned for their lightweight construction and proven versatility.

According to Alisdair Couper, managing director at Terberg DTS, "With many years of proven experience working in mixed applications across Europe, the Kinglifter product range is well regarded for its productivity and cost effectiveness. The defining feature of these top-quality forklifts is their outstanding power-to- weight ratio and we anticipate that the Kinglifter range will be very well received by our UK customers."

"We see the addition of the Kinglifter range as an ideal fit in our current product and services portfolio. Kinglifter will appeal not only to our existing customer base but also to potential new customers, who will have complete peace of mind since Terberg DTS has a proven 24/7, 365 Aftersales support operation of nationwide engineers and high parts availability throughout the working life of all products supplied by us," added Alisdair Couper.

The Kinglifter S-type is the most compact machine in the Kinglifter range, completely in its element where limited space and low kerb weight are prevalent. Within the S-type range, there is a choice of variants, depending on factors such as the lifting capacity of 1500kg and the lifting height from 1800mm to 2800mm, together with a choice of fixed or retractable legs and fork/wheel alternatives.

Without doubt, the Kinglifter M-type is the best all-round forklift unit in the range, with many customers in Europe choosing this model because of its range of variants, and suitability for different applications. These variants include a choice of 31 and 38 hp direct injection diesel engines, 1 wheel/3 wheel drive, 4 way steering, masts with a lifting capacity of 2000kg or 2500kg and a lifting height of 2800mm to 4050mm, as well as fixed or retractable legs and a host of optional extras.

Completing the range is the Kinglifter MC, which combines the best features from the S-type and M-type models. With this model, there is a choice of 31 or 38hp direct injection diesel engines, 1-wheel or 3-wheel drive, 4way steering, duplo glide or duplo roller masts with lifting capacity of 2000kg or 2500kg and a lifting height of 2800mm to 3600mm, with fixed or retractable legs and a range of optional extras.

Within all models, the operator sits entirely within the contour of the machine so that work can be performed safely. The engine compartment is easily accessible thanks to hinged engine covers, simplifying maintenance activity, and both the M-type and MC-type models are available with four-wheel steering systems.

The overall appearance of Kinglifter truck-mounted forklift is enhanced over its working life through the protection against corrosion received during its detailed manufacturing process. The plating used in manufacture is stainless steel, the legs are hot-dip galvanised and the masts are all equipped with Dacromat chains. The high quality steel frame, the mast and all other steel parts are given an electrostatic dip painting base coat and powder coating.

All Kinglifter forklift models are equipped with lights, a parking brake and power steering.

"The Kinglifter range provides a portable and independent loading and unloading system for your vehicles, saving time and enabling you to provide a versatile service when and where needed, with minimal rear overhang in transit," commented Alisdair Couper.
