The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport UK (CILT) has won the prestigious MemCom Transformation Award for the marketing of its innovative and distinctive new membership structure.
CILT won the MemCom membership communication Transformation Award for its campaign explaining the new organisational structure of the Institute and its relevance to members.
CILT's Marketing Manager Rinku Grewal received the hotly-contested award at the MemCom Awards and Conference 2011, held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London on March 31st.
The winning campaign used an attractive map-style diagram to show how the various special interest groups within the Institute inter-related.
Rinku Grewal says: 'Explaining visually how eight individual, yet inter-related, Professional Sectors including Rail, Aviation and Supply Chain are relevant for our members was a challenge; but the distinctive yet familiar map-style diagram we developed managed to show effectively how the different disciplines connect.'
CILT's Chief Executive Steve Agg adds: 'The launch of our Professional Sectors was intended to demonstrate how relevant our Institute is for everyone operating in the world of logistics and transport, and results so far have exceeded our expectations. The successful launch and the continuing communication programme is a key element in our success.'
