A new organisation has launched aimed at helping owners of transport and logistics firms grow their companies as Britain starts to recover from the recession. The National Association of Business Owners (NABO) is an organisation that transport operatives will be eligible to join free of charge.
They will benefit from exclusive access to advice, networks and information to help them develop profitable and successful organisations. Transport operatives can sign up for free membership now at www.businessowners.org.uk.
Jonathan Jay owns a business called SuccessTrack and is the founder of NABO. He said: "We established the National Association of Business Owners with one clear goal in mind - to help owners of companies including transport & logistic firms be more successful.
"There is a general feeling in the UK that running your own business is difficult and you are more likely to fail than succeed. Yes there is a lot of hard work involved, but there are many things you should do in your business to significantly tip the odds in your favour.
"NABO isn't about how to do better VAT returns or tax planning. It focuses on the things that make a real difference to a business - excellent sales and marketing and business systems that make your business highly profitable and enjoyable to run."
NABO co-founder Paul Green, owner of PublicityHeaven.com, added: "The UK is a hotbed of innovation and creativity. But business owners feel held back by the perception there is a lot of red tape, and the government is constantly making their life more difficult.
"NABO is not for business owners to moan about politics or the state of the economy. It's for business owners who are fed up with a business that runs them, and want to meet with like minded people to do something about it.
"Running your own business continues to be the best wealth-generating activity in the UK. You just need the right tools and knowledge and NABO has been set up to provide that," he added.
UK transport operatives can become members of NABO by visiting www.businessowners.org.uk and registering their details. Once a member, they will receive a monthly printed newsletter full of tips and advice on how to make their company a success.
New members will also be invited to attend a free one-day marketing, business and internet seminar as well as gain access to a huge network of like-minded business individuals who are ambitious and optimistic about the future of their companies.
