The Pink Link MD lifts Inspiring Leader of the Year Award

A Huddersfield logistics firm The Pink Link is celebrating as its MD scooped an Inspiring Leader of the Year Award, following the Forward Ladies National Women in Business Awards, sponsored by HSBC.

Vicki Davenport, managing director at The Pink Link which is a member of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, earned her place in the final, beating off stiff competition after winning the regional title in the Yorkshire and North East regional finals last month.

She has now taken the national category award at a prestigious lunch organised by Forward Ladies at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, before an audience of senior business leaders and their guests.

Vicki, who was presented with a bespoke glass trophy, said: “I am absolutely thrilled and very proud to have won this prestigious Forward Ladies Award for inspiring leader and to be recognised as an inspiration to others is a great honour. Over the last 25 years I have been supported by some fabulous people – so thank you to everyone at The Pink Link for their wonderful support. This award is recognition of their hard work and success.”

The Pink Link, which specialises in the express distribution of small consignments of palletised freight throughout the UK and Europe, is this year celebrating its 25th year in business.
