FTA’s former Chief Executive – Theo de Pencier was recognised at the 2015 Motor Transport Awards when he was presented with the ‘Service to Industry’ Award.

Having been established for 25 years the MT Awards are considered the ‘Oscars’ of the freight and logistics industry, and have set an important benchmark of excellence in road transport.

Theo de Pencier was at the helm of the FTA for eight years, where he used his extensive board level experience and knowledge of the freight and logistics to streamline and modernise the Association – establishing it as the voice of the industry.

On receiving the MT Service to Industry Award – Theo de Pencier commented:
"I am delighted and proud to have received the Motor Transport 2015 Service to Industry Award. FTA exists to represent the transport industry and further Member’s interests which I hope it will continue to do for another 125 years. I am particularly proud to be ranked alongside previous FTA winners such as Stewart Oades, Nikki King and Robbie Burns."
