Romania's largest privately owned contract logistics specialist, Tibbett
Logistics - part of the fast-growing UK-based Keswick Enterprises group -
has been awarded ISO 9001 quality certification for all its logistics
operations - confirming the high standard of logistics services offered in
Romania.
Tibbett Logistics had previously received certification for its automotive
logistics operations only, but has now successfully undergone stringent
examination of all its other logistics activities.
Tibbett Logistics CEO, David Goldsborough, said: "Our customers demand the
highest levels of service and support, and the best confirmation we can have
of this is that our business is continuing to grow strongly in the areas of
warehousing, distribution and intermodal (road-rail) services. However
independent ISO 9001 certification now demonstrates that across our business
we have a rigorous approach to quality management.
"Whatever the size of operation we take responsibility for, a customer can
be assured of the highest levels of professionalism from Tibbett Logistics.
For us, this certification is not just a plaque to put on the wall. We are
actually using the process to train our management and to achieve
standardisation in systems and methodologies as far as possible across the
business. This is making it easier for us to respond quickly to new
business requirements, while assuring our customers of a quality approach
from day one."
Tibbett Logistics offers comprehensive logistics services to the automotive,
textiles, retail and other FMCG sectors throughout Romania and beyond -
operating some 100,000 square metres of warehousing plus a distribution
fleet comprising tilt trailers, double- and triple-chamber reefers and
container chassis.
Later this month Tibbett Logistics will be opening its second intermodal
logistics terminal in Romania with direct rail-linked warehousing in the
west of Bucharest.
