Following the successful launch of its first fully VOSA approved ATF at its Nuneaton depot earlier this year, TIP Trailer Services has continued to expand its growing FleetCare maintenance programme by subsequently opening a further three ATF's ('Authorised Testing Facility') in Felixstowe, Liverpool and Manchester. Plans are also in hand to open a fifth ATF station in Leeds later this year.
Felixstowe and Liverpool opened in May and June respectively, whilst Manchester opens its doors for ATF test facilities at the end of August. Each of the ATF stations operated by TIP Trailer Services offer a full range of testing facilities, including HGV, PSV & ADR.
TIP's ATF station in Nuneaton opened in April this year testing over 600 axles in the first month alone. By July, the popularity of the ATF station was such that they were testing 6 days a week, with the number of axles being tested rising by a staggering 60% to 960 axles that month.
"These developments are part of a rolling investment programme by TIP to develop a national ATF network, for both new and existing customers. We already have a large customer base who take advantage of the benefits that TIP's on site workshops give them, by helping to reduce their fuel costs when repairs, servicing and maintenance are required before testing. We can now offer ATF testing at four locations, with a fifth to come shortly, which will increase the opportunity for new customers to utilise the extensive top-quality service facilities that we can offer," said Karl Davies, services and marketing director at TIP Trailer Services.
