TIP Trailer Services expand FleetCare maintenance programme

Plans for 50% increase in available test slots during 2011

TIP Trailer Services are taking another step forward in their continually expanding FleetCare maintenance programme by opening its first ‘Authorised Testing Facility’ (ATF), in the Midlands. From March 1st 2011, TIP will convert its Designated Premises (DP) lane at the company’s depot in Nuneaton into a fully VOSA approved ATF station, offering a full range of testing facilities, including HGV, PSV & ADR.

As part of a rolling investment programme to develop an ATF network, TIP intends to increase its available test slots nationwide by 50% as it converts a further 5 of its depots, at Avonmouth, Felixstowe, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester, into ATF premises once the Nuneaton facility is up and running.

Announcing details of its 1st ATF, Jonny Clark, TIP UK FleetCare Manager said, "This was an obvious step forward for TIP. Our main business strategy for 2011 is to grow our services portfolio and this gives TIP the opportunity to provide ATF facilities to both new and existing customers. We already have a large customer base who take advantage of the benefits that TIP’s on site workshops give them, by helping to reduce their fuel costs when repairs, servicing and maintenance are required before testing. We also have wash facilities on site at Nuneaton, giving the customer a truly one-stop maintenance and testing facility."
