A high-flying Huddersfield student has been awarded a special prize by logistics specialists, Multipart, for being top of the class.
Line Tabbara was the highest achiever on the BSc (Hons) European Logistics Management course at the University of Huddersfield. Her prize was a cheque for £200 and a specially designed trophy.
Line, who originates from Bures sur Yvette in France, was attracted to Huddersfield because of the unique content of the course. The logistics degree has a strong language bias. She now plans to go on to do a Masters degree and hopes to go to Oxford Brookes.
Dr Nick Hubbard, Head of Transport and Logistics at the University commented: "The course brings together education and training in logistics underpinned by the language skills necessary to operate in the international logistics market."
Multipart, Finance Director, Paul Roberts said: "The logistics market operates on an international basis, which makes linguistics an industry essential. As markets become more complex in terms of customer service demands, logistics is key to successful business. It is crucial that industry and education work together to match the future needs of business."
Multipart sponsors the course as part of it's continued investment in education.
