Total South Africa implements RedPrairie Retail Operations Management Solution

Roll-out completed to over 330 petroleum convenience stores following successful European implementation


RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity solutions provider, announced that Total has completed the roll out of its retail store back office management solution to over 330 gas stations in South Africa. The solution will provide Total with the ability to centrally manage and optimise inventory and promotions. The South African roll-out follows the successful implementation of the solution to Total's sites in the United Kingdom and parts of Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and France.


"By using RedPrairie's global solution, our managers in South Africa will be able to optimise stock and promotion management but also all the activities related to the management of deliveries and suppliers. The solution meets all our needs for decision-making, inventory and margin management and profit optimisation. RedPrairie's solution will make it possible for us to increase our managers' sales, whilst reducing costs," said a Total representative.


RedPrairie's Retail Operations Solution impacts virtually all of site-based operations, from daily budgeting and forecasts of inventory, fresh item control and recipe management, The solution provides controls for lowering company, franchisee, dealer owned operating costs while improving service.
