Toyota's stand at IMHX 2013 was designed to be a place where visitors can come to do business and to demonstrate how working with Toyota Material Handling could help drive down costs in their business.
The Toyota stand was packed with interactive demonstrations and a full range of trucks each with a skilled and experienced sales person to explain the trucks benefits. This helped to show visitors how Toyota can help to support their material handling operations. With three live demonstration areas showing hand pallet trucks to the counterbalance forklifts, the latest product innovations, a dedicated Toyota I_Site fleet management area plus the Toyota forklift simulator, the Toyota stand had something to help customers with large and small fleets, drive down costs in their business.
One of the key themes and the award winner of the Toyota stand was the campaign Taking Care with Toyota - People, Product, Process. The IMHX Design for Safety Awards 2013 selected Taking Care with Toyota to win within the category Safety Practice. Tony Wallis, Sales and Marketing Director, Toyota Material Handling UK said " At Toyota we believe that we can support customers and help take care of their business by providing innovative and high- quality products, expert support from our dedicated sales and after-sales team and finally through our efficient processes. Our objective for IMHX 2013 was to demonstrate these difference elements to customer through interactive demonstrations and the expert knowledge of our team on the stand".
The centrepiece of the Toyota stand was the live demonstration areas that showed Toyota's range of trucks working in applications from unloading / loading to horizontal transport, high density storage to warehousing. This area includes models from Toyota's core range including the multifunction BT Reflex, the Toyota Traigo48 equipped with the Toyota System of Active Stability (SAS) and BT Optio order pickers. Linked to the live demonstration area was a transport office in which visitors could view an interactive demonstration of Toyota's fleet management system, Toyota I_Site. Supported by Toyota's dedicated Toyota I_Site fleet management specialist, Toyota tailored demonstrations and showed the key features of Toyota I-Site including: machine access and activity, driver activity, machine shock sensors, machine lockout, battery info, service database and data collecting - all accessed from a dedicated Toyota I-Site web portal.
In the hand pallet truck demonstration area, visitors were invited to see the quality of Toyota's range of hand pallet trucks manufactured in Sweden, but also see the unique innovations in the BT Lifter range. On stand were three unique hand pallet trucks; BT Pro Lifter for easier operation, BT Lifter Silent for out-of hours or residential deliveries and the BT Lifter Half Pallet to manage smaller pallet sizes.
Wallis concludes "At IMHX 2013, Toyota showed visitors the latest product developments and innovations from Toyota, but also show how working with us can help to drive down costs in their business. The stand was a great interactive environment and allowed visitors to see the different support services we have to offer. This year's show was a huge opportunity for Toyota and a great experience for everyone involved.
