Toyota Industrial Equipment has launched a simple to use yet technologically-advanced, 24 volt, 3-wheel electric truck that will allow safe and efficient operations in the smallest spaces.
Ideal for tight spaces in factories, warehouses and shops, the TOYOTA Traigo is available in 1.0, 1.3and 1.5 tonne lifting capacities. It can be manufactured to meet individual applications and specification needs.
Featuring Toyota's leading technologies such as the unique System of Active Stability (SAS) and AC2 Power System, plus Toyota's Operator Total Care (OTC) package, the Traigo provides world-leading levels of safety, comfort and productivity.
To ensure the highest levels of safety, SAS actively protects the driver and reduces the risk of damaged goods. SAS features also include auto fork levelling and active mast control, making operation of this machine simple and easy. It also reduces the forward tilt angle when lifting heavy loads high, thus aiding safe operation.
The Traigo significantly improves reliability and maintenance costs through the AC2 Power System, which combines a compact AC motor and sophisticated controller to offer powerful precise control, with more compact and less complex components. The system provides greater acceleration and more lifting performance compared to conventional trucks.
An exclusive 3-mode Power Select function offers 'standard', 'power' and 'high power' modes for material handling speeds. 'Standard' power maximises the operating time from the battery and 'High Power' mode gives maximum productivity compared to standard mode, but reduces overall operating time on one battery.
Productivity can be further enhanced by addition of the optional horizontal battery exchange system which allows the battery to be rolled off the truck sideways. This system makes the battery changing process quicker, simpler and safer.
The Traigo offers superior ergonomics as a result of Toyota's OTC package, which includes a high-comfort, adjustable seat, a choice of mechanical, mini or multi-function lever controls and a seat-mounted armrest. This armrest can also be specified with twin multi-functional electronic levers to allow the operator to carry out more than one function with each lever. Long, driver-side levers also available, providing easy mechanical operation of all materials handling functions.
Dave Moore, National Customer and Sales Support Manager comments: "In addition to Toyota's advanced technology, the Traigo benefits from very compact dimensions. This means it can navigate more effectively in very tight production areas and efficiently rack and stack products in narrow operating aisles.
