Toyota Material Handling takes care of the Food Supply Chain at Foodex

Showing support for the food supply chain, Toyota Material Handling UK joins

exhibitors at Foodex from 25-27 March, 2012 at NEC, Birmingham.

After a successful event in 2010, Toyota will be exhibiting on Stand G312,

in Hall 20 featuring counterbalance and warehouse equipment - specifically

designed to work in the processing, packing and logistics sectors.

The Toyota Traigo48 electric-powered forklift is perfect for visitors to

Foodex as it has been engineered to satisfy customers who need a powerful

electric forklift with the capacity to manoeuvre easily in the tightest of

spaces. The Toyota Traigo48 has been designed to give businesses exactly

what they are looking for in an electric counterbalance forklift - safety,

productivity, durability and driveability.

John Howard, Toyota's Storage Systems Specialist will also be on hand to

provide dedicated advice to visitors looking for a high-performance solution

for efficient handling of goods in high-density racking.

The BT Radioshuttle is based on electrically powered load carriers that

transport goods in and out of storage tunnels within specially designed

racking. The load carriers are operated by wireless remote control, meaning

several units can be controlled from one transmitter. This gives operators

the freedom to work elsewhere while already initiating retrieval of the next

load(s) to be handled. Individual load carriers can also be quickly and

easily transferred between different storage locations by a conventional

forklift truck, adding flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

Tony Wallis, Operations Director, Toyota Material Handling UK advises:

"Foodex provides an ideal opportunity for us to showcase our comprehensive

product range, from our latest electric-powered forklifts to the innovative

aisle-free storage system. As members of industry associations the FSDF

(Food Storage and Distribution Federation) and UKWA (UK Warehousing

Association), we will be showing our support for the entire food and drink

industry".

Members of the Toyota Material Handling UK team will also be on hand to

guide visitors on stand G312 from the 25th to the 27th March 2012 at the

NEC, Birmingham through the products available from Toyota, and provide

visitors with advice and information about how Toyota can help to drive down

costs in their business.
