Toyota Material Handling UK has been shortlisted for two categories in the upcoming FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence, with their Toyota Traigo 48 volt electric-powered forklift in the environment category and the BT Staxio stackers with retractable masts in the ergonomics category.
The nomination for the environment award is focused on the energy efficiency of the Traigo 48 electric forklift range compared to the next in class. With improved power steering and enhanced driver control, this forklift offers increased performance, lower energy consumption and a longer operating life, even in the most intensive operations, plus it is available with the option of lithium ion.
The new BT Staxio stacker range with retractable mast, nominated in the ergonomic category, offers companies versatility with the compactness of a stacker and the flexibility of a reach truck. The ergonomic advantages come from the driver functions that are integrated in the handle making it easy to operate. Optimised truck performance adjusts speed when cornering and the Totalview concept allows for excellent visibility through the mast to the fork tips at any height.
Tony Wallis, commercial director, Toyota Material Handling UK commented: “We are so proud to be shortlisted for these two FLTA awards for the environment and ergonomics. The Toyota Traigo48 is a core truck in our range and we know it offers customers the best in class for energy efficiency plus, the introduction of the new BT Staxio’s has been greatly received and we know they offer savings in storage space and costs for our customers”.
The winner of each category will be decided by an industry jury and the results will be announced on Saturday 4th March 2017 at The International Centre in Telford.
Wallis adds, “Innovation and developing products that help our customers to work safely and efficiently is a big part of our success. We are looking forward to these prestigious awards and the results in March next year.”
