The trailer arm of specialist logistics firm AV Dawson has seen demand for its fleet grow across the globe following investment of more than £1.8m in the business.
Tees Valley Trailers, which offers fully serviced commercial large goods vehicle trailers for sale or hire, has seen its initial rental fleet more than double from 100 to 250 in the eight years since it was launched.
At the same time, its specialist export arm is now seeing trailers despatched regularly to Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Burma.
Gary Dawson, director, of Tees Valley Trailers, which is based at AV Dawson’s site at Riverside Park in Middlesbrough, said: "We’re continuing to go from strength-to-strength.
"After a period of cautious growth, a recent investment of more than £1.8m has significantly increased the number and variety of trailers available for hire. We’ve also undergone a substantial refurbishment programme to ensure that our trailers are exactly what our customers need.
"An excellent effort by the commercial team headed by David Ormston and Jon Lambert has resulted not only in an improvement in the quality of our trailer stock, but also a substantial improvement in the quality and depth of our customer base."
The company boasts a comprehensive fleet including stepframe double decks, curtainsiders – standard and tallboy – sliding and tipping skeletals, flats with full specification, extenders , and bulk tippers.
Trailers can be hired on a short or long term basis and new equipment can be specifically sourced for long term contracts.
TVT works with small and large businesses across the country, mainly in the logistics industries, and its sales team has more than 50 years’ experience.
