WAHSA was formed in 2005 to represent the interest of manufacturers, assemblers, installers, distributors and end users of personal protection equipment used for work at height and for rescue; it is perceived to be the leading UK association for this sector. It sets a benchmark in high standards for the manufacture of members' products and takes a leading role in setting standards and codes of practice for the use of such products.
Applicants for membership of WAHSA must fulfil demanding criteria before being accepted. To qualify companies must show that they control the production of height safety equipment at every stage, from raw materials through to testing and certification. Over recent years, Trans-Web has become a well-known and respected supplier and manufacturer of a wide range of lifting products, safety harnesses and fall arrest equipment with a reputation for manufacturing excellence and superb customer service. WAHSA found that the company qualified for membership on all counts.
"We are all very proud of our achievement," comments Lee Wrigley from Trans-Web. "This is a feather in our cap. Recognition of excellence by one's peers is something we all covet, and membership of WAHSA has achieved that recognition, not only from them, but from the people who are seen to uphold and regulate the standards within the industry."
Trans-Web products are used widely in a range of international industries including transport, construction, marine and offshore engineering. The company, a member of the Resolute Corporate Holdings Limited, a family-owned holding company that includes other textile based manufacturing businesses, offers quality products at competitive prices.
