Stertil Koni's 17.5 tonne ST4175 vehicle lift is the latest addition to the Stockport workshop of TransLinc. Managing a nationwide fleet of over 3,000 vehicles, TransLinc is the UK's leading provider of specialist fleet services to Local Authorities.
Responsible for some 500 vehicles, the Stockport depot chose the new Stertil lift as an addition to its seven existing lifts. Much of its work involves safety inspections, annual test preparation and unplanned work recommended by VOSA (Vehicle & Operator Services Agency). The nine-metre long, 17.5 tonne ST4175 is an ideal addition to the lifting equipment already operating at TransLinc's workshop. The lift is designed without cross beams, so that the required working width can be easily chosen, depending on the particular vehicle being serviced. The lack of cross beams also ensures excellent access both to vehicles and the lift itself.
With a drive-on height of just 240mm, the ST4175 is entirely electronically controlled and is made even more user-friendly by the well-positioned control panel, from where the working width and lifting height can be programmed. The operator's LCD screen can also be used to display system information.
"This new Stertil Koni lift is a valuable addition to our lifting equipment," confirms Dave Parsons, National Operations Manager of TransLinc. "Stertil has a reputation for high quality, durable and reliable vehicle lifts and we also found their pricing and delivery times excellent. The new lift offers safe and easy access to vehicles, particularly to the underside, which is vital if we are to operate efficiently and cost-effectively."
