Transport Exchange Group introduces dedicated exchange service for the Heathrow region

ONE of the country’s most sophisticated independent online courier and haulage exchanges has launched a dedicated exchange service for the Heathrow region.

Simply called the Heathrow Exchange, the new service introduced by the Transport Exchange Group, will open up exciting new channels of delivery for the 300 plus couriers who work in and around the region providing a cost effective solution for moving goods in and out of the Heathrow area.

Expanding into one of the world’s busiest airport regions will further raise the company’s burgeoning profile yet further and add to its impressive portfolio of clients and services.

Indeed the company already has some 70 members in the wider Heathrow area and believes that many other operators would benefit considerably from a greater visibility of movements into and out of this key hub location.

This is further demonstrated by the fact that at any one time the Transport Exchange Group has on average 4000 available loads that touch Heathrow per year and about 7000 available vehicles that touch Heathrow per year.

The Heathrow Exchange will operate in conjunction with the company’s newly developed Compliance Registry (check) which ensures that documentary compliance is maintained at all times and to the highest standards within the membership, this being especially important to the air freight and high security sector in the Heathrow area.

The Transport Exchange Group already successfully operates two of the UK’s largest, busiest and fastest growing independent freight exchanges, Haulage Exchange and Courier Exchange.

The launch of the new dedicated Heathrow Exchange marks the beginning of a number of new specialist services being introduced by the company.

The Transport Exchange Group recognises that the freight industry is made up of a number of different sectors each of which has different needs and requirements.

Lyall Cresswell, Managing Director, Transport Exchange Group commented: "The freight industry is very diverse – a fact that we very quickly recognised through our network of member companies.

"The launch of our new Heathrow service is a hugely exciting development.

"TEG is expanding all the time and Heathrow is a fantastic platform upon which to illustrate the fantastic cutting-edge business model we can offer and we look forward to adding to our reputation by working with companies around Heathrow."
