With the ongoing development of its branch network, including recent openings in Dublin, Manchester and Birmingham, leading logistics services company trg has now expanded the number of its drivers that are employed on full time driver contracts.
Another 378 drivers have recently gone on full time employment contracts at trg, with a guaranteed 40 hours work a week, and the company is currently actively seeking to expand the number of full time drivers to meet the demand from its customers.
At the same time, the Wimbledon based company is also looking to increase the number of younger drivers that it employs and will shortly be launching an approved trg apprenticeship programme to develop drivers for the future.
As Nick Gordon, CEO of trg says, "All these drivers were originally employed on an agency basis but, as part of our growing World Class Driving Programme, we have recently switched a total of 378 drivers onto full time work, fulfilling regular contracts with our blue chip client base."
"In 2014, the full effect of the CPC regulations will come into force and we need to be at the forefront of the driver supply market. By incorporating these changes in our driver contracts, thereby encouraging driver loyalty and improved driver standards, as well as developing new opportunities for young people to enter the market cost effectively, we believe we will be well placed when these changes take place in 2 years time," added Nick Gordon.
