TruckForce rolls out new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter fleet at CV Show

TruckForce, tyre manufacturer Goodyear Dunlop's dedicated mobile service and breakdown network, made tracks straight back to Mercedes-Benz when it needed a new fleet of vans.

The 60 additional Sprinter 313 CDIs are now being delivered at a rate of one per day by Birmingham dealer Midlands Truck & Van.

Based across TruckForce's 15 operating centres, which act as hubs for the organisation's satellite locations across England and Wales, they are being used by technicians who repair, replace and service customers' tyres at their premises or at the roadside.

Examples of these new vehicles will take pride of place at the Birmingham NEC next week (9-11 April), on Goodyear Dunlop's Commercial Vehicle Show stand, which will be focused on the company's TruckForce service.

The Sprinters are fitted with engine-driven PTOs which power on-board compressors, as well as Hope Safe-T-bar rear safety bumpers and roof-mounted flashing beacons.

TruckForce invested in its first 20 Sprinters two years ago. The outstanding reliability of those vans, allied to first-class back-up from the manufacturer's commercial vehicle dealer network, were key reasons for the decision to place this latest order with Mercedes-Benz.

Marc Preedy, Goodyear Dunlop's Director, Commercial Tyres, says: "We pride ourselves on delivering a premium service with quality products, and this extends to the equipment we use to provide that service.

"Having operated Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans for a couple of years we are confident of their reliability and recognise that they provide us with a premium service, as we do to our own customers.

"So we had no hesitation in ordering a further 60 vans and we're now in the process of integrating these latest units into our fleet.

"Like their predecessors, these new Sprinters are very well engineered, with extensive safety features and high levels of comfort for our technicians, and top-quality support from the manufacturer."

Steve Bridge, Mercedes-Benz UK's Van Sales & Marketing Director, adds: "We are, of course, delighted to be able to strengthen further our relationship with TruckForce by supplying these vehicles.

"Like Mercedes-Benz, TruckForce is dedicated to helping its customers operate as efficiently and economically as possible - a commitment that is underlined by its insistence on using the most reliable vans available."

TruckForce provides a premium truck tyre service and breakdown assistance support network across the UK. Services include routine tyre maintenance, repairs, scheduled replacement and regrooving.
