TWT Logistics transport and palletized distribution network take delivery of first Isuzu truck

TWT Logistics operates a diverse fleet of 80 plus vehicles and 150 trailers to meet the needs of its customer base, however recently the Mid Glamorgan based company took delivery of its first ever Isuzu truck to work on pallet deliveries as part of the group's pallet distribution network.

TWT's first ever Isuzu N75.190 7.5tonne long wheelbase rigid joined the fleet earlier this year, based from their Andover depot, Switch International, which was purchased 4 years ago.

The Isuzu N75.190 Euro 5 rigid has been specified with the popular Easyshift transmission and has a 20ft curtainsided body with tuckaway taillift fitted as standard. TWT anticipates that the Isuzu, which was supplied by Isuzu Thames Valley, will cover in excess of 100,000kms per annum over a six year working life.

As Trevor Taylor, Managing Director at TWT Logistics Group explains, "We attended the SED show last year, spoke to Isuzu on their stand and their response was first class. After the show, Isuzu came to us to explain about the full range of trucks they sell, and we were invited to test their demo trucks at various weights."

Not long after, TWT Logistics needed to add a further 7.5tonner to its fleet and decided to specify its first ever Isuzu, a decision that pleased Trevor Taylor. He comments, "Isuzu worked hard to impress us with their total package and fully deserved this opportunity to supply us with a new vehicle. Needless to say, the vehicle has slipped effortlessly into our pallet distribution fleet, performing well so far."
