TydenBrooks celebrates 140 years of security seal innovation

The world’s oldest and largest security seal manufacturer, TydenBrooks, is this year celebrating its 140th anniversary. And innovation is still firmly at the heart of providing successful business solutions for customers worldwide with the introduction this year of the GlobalTrak Krateus electronic seal, designed to deliver the best of both traditional bolt seal security and totally flexible electronic cargo tracking.

Serving customers since before the aeroplane, telephone and petrol-powered automobile were invented, the story of TydenBrooks started in 1873 when, in the midst of a deep recession, young entrepreneur Edward Jewett Brooks purchased a lead toy plant in Manhattan.

The launch of a new product line quickly followed: railroad-car security seals, and a long, successful journey had started, based on exactly the same solid foundations enjoyed today – quality products, dedicated employees and a genuine focus on customer service.

Comments Phil Whitley, Vice President International Sales and Business Development: "We are proud to be celebrating 140 years, in particular our long established tradition of open-minded innovation which has resulted in us continuing to supply some of the most successful companies in the world".

Nic Dancey, General Manager EMEA confirms: "We continue to build on our reputation as experts in providing solutions, which is at the heart of everything we do for our many thousands of customers, covering a whole host of sectors and applications worldwide. The challenge of minimising risk and preventing theft is a continuously changing one, and only by working closely with our customers, distributors and industry associations across the globe are we able to stay one step ahead , not only providing quality products and service but genuinely appropriate, often individual solutions".

"The business today: TydenBrooks Security Products Group, was formed in 2009 when Tyden Group acquired EJ Brooks Company and Stoffel Seals, combining the values of these and many other trusted brands over the 140 year history……..names such as Markitwise, TydenBrammall, Canada Mayer and Transguard. They all enjoyed, and we continue to build on, their simple approach to customers’ needs: Leading the Way, Securing Your World".
