Volvo Trucks’ ‘Reality Road’-series viewed in more than 50 countries

Volvo Trucks’ TV series ‘Reality Road’ has become widely spread on the Internet. After just two weeks the content has been viewed more than two million times in no fewer than 50 countries.

The TV series, launched on Volvo Trucks’ YouTube channel on June 11 as part of the brand’s campaign for its service offers, quickly achieved widespread international coverage.

"With ‘Reality Road’ we wanted to approach content marketing in a new way by creating content just like any other publisher. We are naturally delighted to note such a massive global spread. It’s positive both for our brand and for the demand for our products and services," says Per Nilsson, Director Public Relations at Volvo Trucks.

‘Reality Road’ was launched as part of a campaign for Volvo Trucks Services. The aim of the series is to demonstrate the strength of Volvo Trucks’ service offering and to create TV entertainment that appeals to a wider audience. The series consists of eight episodes and a lot of supplementary material.

In the TV series artist Mapei rides in a truck through Europe, recording a music video to accompany her new track ‘Million Ways to Live’. She is helped by director and close friend Liza Minou Morberg and ‘Epic Split’ driver Jens Karlsson. During the series we get to see how the various services are put to the test in various unexpected ways, and also accompany Mapei as she familiarises herself with and challenges the truck world.

The content of Reality Road has been viewed over than two million times in more than 50 countries, all large continents represented. The most popular episode until now has been Episode 3 "Truck Ballet in Berlin" covering the Two-wheel stunt.
