Berkshire-based fulfilment specialist, Walker Logistics, has secured contracts to provide a range of supply chain services to three new clients.
Initially, the deals are worth a combined total of some £1.25m per year to Walker.
The three most recent additions to Walker’s growing client portfolio include a Thailand-based drinks company who specialise in energy and isotonic drinks; a multi-channel footwear retailer and distributor of popular footwear brands; and a supplier of snack foods to UK-based grocery retailers and high-end independent stores.
Walker will deliver a range of B2B and B2C fulfilment and value-added services to each of its new clients.
For example, in addition to pick, pack and dispatch operations, its work for the Thai-owned energy drinks producer will involve the establishment of an online sales channel through which the company will launch its range to the European market.
The footwear retailer and distributor contract involves replenishing stock at five retail outlets across London as well as supplying the company’s wholesaler clients and fulfilling orders placed via the firm’s online portal. Outsourcing to Walker has allowed the company to close a warehouse and make significant transport cost savings.
For its new snack food producer account, Walker will initially supply chilled transport delivery services to stockists of the company’s products across the UK. A fleet of 7.5 tonne chilled vehicles will be dedicated to the contract.
William Walker, sales and marketing director of Walker Logistics, commented: “We are clearly very pleased to be able to announce these contract wins and look forward to working closely with all three companies in the months ahead and helping them to develop their businesses by maximising the efficiency of their supply chains.”
