Whale Enterprise reported significant interest at the inaugural IFAT exhibition last week, with the KaiserWhale water recycling technology of particular interest.
The three day event (24th-26th October) in Mumbai was the first time that this major trade fair for the Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling Industries has been staged and it drew 131 exhibitors from around the globe and more than 6,000 visitors from India and abroad.
Whale Enterprise PVT Limited ("WEPL") took the opportunity to showcase its growing product range and to underline the significant strides that the Whale brand is making in bringing European quality and technology to the Indian market. WEPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Whale Tankers, who are one of the largest manufacturers of liquid waste tankers and jetting equipment in Europe. Whale Enterprise has production and customer support facilities in Coimbatore in the state of Tamilnadu.
"The overview of our KaiserWhale recycling technology showing the ability to continuous recycle the high pressure jetting water without the need for complicated filtration or settling tanks, manufactured here in India with the technical expertise of the UK parent company, proved to be an instant hit" said Mark Warmington ,the Managing Director for WEPL.
"Customers from almost every segment, from the government bodies through to private and public contractors - both national and international - were impressed by the innovation offered by our six person team manning the stand and innovative ideas being put forward."
He added, "In addition to the KaiserWhale, WEPL were also able to show media content of other parts of its growing product range, including the CombiWhale - a jetting cum suction machine widely used by government bodies and by contractors for sewage cleaning and suction and the SuperSucker, a high-end suction machine with blower."
The parts division of WEPL also drew a lot of interest, with a range of ball valves, sliding Knife gate valves and also butterfly valves on display as well as Mistral filtration equipment. Also on view were parts from Whale's European partners, for which Whale Enterprise have distribution agreements in India. These included the Moro PM 70, a vacuum pump used for sewage suction and a range of jetting nozzles from Nuova Contec. Whale is also providing technical and media coverage for Pratissoli HP jetting pumps, Omsi drive boxes, Hibon blowers and Samson Pumps. All proved to be a talking point for dealers, distributors as well as service providers to marine and fire departments.
Speaking at the end of the show, Managing Director of WEPL & Whale Tankers UK Mark Warmington said, "We have been thrilled with the level of interest that our products and service support have received over all three days of the show." His colleague Chris Anderson, the Commercial Director of Whale UK, added "We have been greatly encouraged by the huge potential in the Indian market and we are already planning on how we can build on this year's success at IFAT 2014.
