Whistl appoint new Business Manager in Northern Ireland

Whistl, the second largest postal operator in the UK, has appointed Ryan Kinnear as new Business Manager to lead its expansion in Northern Ireland.  Ryan, 40, joins from Neopost and will be based at its depot on Hightown Industrial Estate in Newtownabbey, Belfast, and will be responsible for expanding Whistl’s public and private sector client base.

Whistl has been operating in Northern Ireland since 2010 and is the only alternative national postal operator in the province and handles over 50 million items a year.  The company has built up an impressive client base in the past six years and has recently renewed contracts with Allied Irish Bank and with PowerNI, the leading energy supplier to 550,000 properties in NI.

The company collects and sorts bulk mail items from clients including statements, marketing materials and packets and parcels, and transports them for delivery by a third party to householders and businesses across the UK.

Commenting on his appointment, Ryan Kinnear, New Business Manager NI, said:

“I am delighted to join the team at Newtownabbey; Whistl has an excellent track record of customer service in the province through providing a range of cost efficient mail and packet and parcel delivery services to clients.”

Nick Wells CEO, Whistl said: “Whistl is committed to providing high quality services in all parts of the UK and we have built a strong presence here in the past six years.  We welcome Ryan to the team and look forward to enjoying further growth in Northern Ireland in the years to come.”
