White Logistics and storage deliver to Buckingham Palace

A LOGISTICS firm has added an extra special customer to its list after making a delivery to the country's most prestigious address.

White Logistics - a member of Palletforce, the UK's leading palletised distribution network - was called in to deliver plants for a party in the Royal Gardens around Buckingham Palace.

"Unfortunately the Queen did not come down to the palace gates to sign for the delivery," said Managing Director Tom Stracey.

"But it was still an honour to be chosen for such an important job.

"It was an unusual and exciting job for the driver and there were some dress code rules that we needed to follow."

White Logistics, based in Pershore, Worcestershire, was chosen for the job as it is the UK's leading distributor of Danish trolleys, the equipment used to transport plants.

It was delivering the flowers on behalf of Bee Happy Plants Ltd.

The South Chard based nursery had a stall at the 12-day party which was themed around sustainability and the environment and started on September 8.

Celebrities appearing at the party include Jools Holland, Alistair McGowan, Rolf Harris, Ben Elton and Kate Humble.

"Delivering to Buckingham Palace is another milestone in our company's 38 year history," added Tom.

Sarah Holdsworth, Managing Director of Bee Happy Plants Ltd, said: "White Logistics provided a star service without which we would have struggled.

"Their driver was extremely patient and was helpful over and above the call of duty. "We cannot thank them enough for their help.
