Leading supply chain specialist Wincanton’s contract with one of the world’s top manufacturers of powered garden equipment, Global Garden Products (GGP) has been extended, marking a 10-year relationship between the two companies.
Plymouth-based GGP has used Wincanton to store and distribute its range of powered garden product brands including Stiga Mountfield and Atco since 2003, meaning the latest contract extension will take the successful partnership to a decade.
Wincanton will run the contract from its Rothwell depot in Leeds, delivering to all the main B&Q distribution centres and direct to GGP dealers throughout the UK.
Darren Cottis, logistics manager for GGP, said: "We have always believed that the distribution channel from our production line through to the end users should be a seamless process.
"Wincanton understands this ethos and incorporates it into all the work they do for us, ensuring we have a business partner in whom we trust and rely upon to help us meet our objective of constantly improving customer service."
