Wolseley UK’s Integrated Supply division has won the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award at the prestigious 2011 Housing Excellence Awards.
Wolseley UK beat stiff competition from the likes of Grafton Supply Chain Systems, Total Glass, Alumet Systems (UK) and Spirotech.
Dave Hedley, commercial operations manager for the Integrated Supply and Managed Services division of Wolseley UK, commented: "We are thrilled to receive the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award recognises the hard work the whole Integrated Supply team puts into providing the best products and services for our customers, especially in the social housing sector.
"With more than a decade offering dedicated services to organisations up and down the country, this award is testament to our commitment to continuous improvement across the whole spectrum of our products and services."
Martin Smithurst on behalf of the Housing Excellence Awards, explained: "The awards are now in its eighth year and bigger than ever with over 700 attendees present at the ceremony. Wolseley UK’s Integrated Supply division is an extremely well deserving winner – congratulations to Dave and the whole team for their exceptional performance."
The 2011 Housing Excellence Awards were held at The Point at Lancashire Cricket Club. The awards are an opportunity to bring together the industry’s top members to share experiences and highlights. This year’s event also raised over £3,000 for charity partner, Depaul UK. Wolseley UK supported the event with sponsorship of the ‘Tenant of the Year’ award, which was awarded to Angela Hulse and Margie Bennet of One Vision Housing.
Wolseley UK’s Integrated Supply and Managed Services division has locations throughout the UK where stock, vendors and transport can be managed, resulting in cost and time savings for clients.
Dave added: ""We offer a fully integrated, bespoke solution for organisations to benefit from significant efficiency savings by utilising our expertise and experience in supplying materials. Having a dedicated facility to manage all material requirements, rather than multiple sources, also impacts on the carbon footprint of a business, meaning our integrated solution has environmental benefits too."
