Yamato's MD to scale Africa's highest peak for charity

Neil Fowell, the recently appointed Managing Director of weighing equipment manufacturer Yamato Scale Dataweigh, is preparing to climb Africa's highest mountain - Mt Kilimanjaro - in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

Neil will embark on the 10-day trek on 14 February, with the aim of raising more than £2,500 for the charity.

Neil Fowell, Managing Director of Yamato Scale Dataweigh, commented: "The Alzheimer's Society is a cause which I feel very passionate about. My father-in-law passed away in December from the disease and many of my friends' parents are starting to go through various stages of the illness, so I wanted to do what I could to help. I have to admit I am a little nervous about the trek but I will be taking every painful step safe in the knowledge that I will be raising money for an extremely valuable organisation."
