Business group Logistics UK has named DFDS Logistics the Road Transport Operator of the Year at its annual Logistics Awards.

DFDS adopted a five-year business plan in 2018 called ‘Win23’, with ambitious growth targets to double annual revenue and profit across the entire DFDS A/S Group by the end of 2023.

To succeed, the company’s 2030 strategy has been designed to set DFDS apart while ensuring the company continues to scale growth through five different routes: Protect and Grow Profits, Standardise to Simplify, Digitise to Transform, Moving to Green and Be a Great Place to Work.

The aim is to achieve goals, respond effectively to the uncertain economic climate and ensure DFDS is widely regarded as a leading road transport operator.

David Wells OBE, Chief Executive at Logistics UK commented: “In a very close category, the improvement across all areas of the business made this entry stand out for the judges.

"I would like to congratulate DFDS Logistics on its win; the company truly represents the ‘best of the best’ in the road transport sector.”

Hovis Logistics was highly commended in this award category, which is sponsored by Weightmans LLP.

Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2024 recognise and celebrate the companies and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the logistics and supply industry over the past 12 months and who excel in their fields.
