On show for the very first time in Germany, the NOV Mono range of revolutionary EZstripTM pumps took centre stage at the recent IFAT exhibition, giving visitors to the stand the chance to see this innovative progressing cavity (PC) pump dismantled and maintained in place in just two and a half minutes.
Alongside the EZstripTM pump were Mono's newest additions to the range, the EZstripTM Cake Pump and CT201 TR Muncher, providing visitors with the opportunity to see the very latest pump and grinder systems designed to combat spiraling maintenance costs.
Nichola Somerville, group marketing manager at NOV Mono, commented: "Following what has been a particularly slow start to AMP5, it was no surprise that maintenance costs and reducing downtime were both hot topics of discussion at this year's show. Exhibitions such as IFAT are essential for the industry as they help to ensure that engineers stay fully up to speed with the latest product developments available to them through important periods such as this new spending round.
"IFAT was extremely successful for Mono and the EZstripTM range, which is the biggest leap forward in PC pump design for 30 years. Being able to demonstrate the truly outstanding benefits of this pump first hand at the show really brought its unique capabilities to life and the pump was particularly well received."
Both the EZstripTM and the EZstripTM Cake pump have been specifically developed by Mono to provide a quick and easy way to disassemble, de-rag and maintain a PC pump in-situ, eliminating the costly maintenance and down time that servicing can often cause.
Both pumps can be completely stripped down and rebuilt in situ, making a day long operation become just a 15 minute job. The specially designed feed chamber is easily disconnected, allowing access to remove any blockages, no electrical disconnection is required and suction and discharge pipes remain untouched.
Mono also exhibited a working model of its successful TR Muncher range, the CT201 Muncher which has been designed to meet on-site tanker discharge requirements and sludge/fat processing, by protecting downstream equipment from blockages, while allowing quick and easy inspection and maintenance. Visitors to the stand were able to see the highly effective grinding capability of the Muncher when product samples were processed through the demonstration unit.
